This is the view from our lanai at the Islander on the Beach in Kapaa, Kauai.  The plantation style resort takes you back to the old Hawaii.  Simple and relaxing.  As you sit on the lanai, you hear the crashing of the waves 24 hours a day.  This is so calming.  We all sleep good here.  There is a nice pool and pool bar and a warm and friendly lobby.

The grounds are very well maintained with walking paths that go on for miles.
