NEW YEAR DINNER 2011

NEW YEAR DINNER 2011
AT HOME

We started 2011 with a delicious dinner at home.  First course was Seared Scallop with Kahuku Corn and White Bean Salad.  Second Course was Pan Seared Foie Gras served atop a Poached Pear with Crostini with Fig and topped with Balsamic Glaze. The main course was a Petit Filet Mignon served with Pan Roasted Potatoes with Rosemary.  These were all great dishes but we need to work on presentation and some really good sauces.  What a treat to watch our 9 Year Old eat Scallops, Frois Gras and pretty much everything else we put in front of her.  No chicken nuggets and burgers for our little girl.  I feel sorry for the guy who has to take her to dinner.  She will request Foie Gras, Escargot, Rack of Lamb and Fresh Sashimi.
