HAWAIIAN AIRLINES
COACH SERVICE TO SAN FRANCISCO
In my simple mind, there is no better airline than Hawaiian. Almost always on time, great service, coach meals and nice fleet of planes to the Mainland and Asia. I am a big fan of Boeing and do not like government subsidized companies like Airbus, but must admit they make a pretty darn good aircraft. I use miles to upgrade whenever possible but when flying with the family it is always Coach Class. Hawaiian allows coach ticketed passengers to upgrade to what they call "premium" seating 24 hours before the flight. For $25 you can change your seat to a bulkhead or exit row when available. We always go for the bulkhead nearest the front of the aircraft. The $25 fee also allows you to pre-board right after the First Class cabin which allows you more time to put away your bags and get settled. I really like these seats and go for them every time we fly Coach. The Coach meal on Hawaiian is food. We had our choice of Curry Chicken with Rice or a Turkey Sandwich. On the way back on a morning flight they served a breakfast burrito that I could not stomach. Egg, Cheese and Sausage they said was in it, but it tasted like something else. The crews on Hawaiian are top notch. They actually treat you as a customer and try to make your trip as comfortable as possible.
