CHENESTON'S RESTAURANT - THE MILESTONE HOTEL, LONDON

CHENESTON'S RESTAURANT
THE MILESTONE HOTEL
LONDON, ENGLAND

We received a complimentary dinner with our room stay at the Milestone Hotel.  Dinner at Cheneston's was good by not great.  The dining room is beautiful.  Filled with rich furnishings and incredible draperies.  We were presented the Cheneston's Table D'hote Menu and picked our three course meals that included an appetizer, entree and dessert.  I started with the Terrine of Foie Gras and Wild Rabbit served with Pickled Mushrooms and nuts.  This was a large piece of Foie Gras and we ended up sharing it with the entire table.  Keli loved the Poached Fillet of  Loch Duart Salmon with pickled fennel, grapefruit and cucumber vierge.  For our entree, Keli and myself ordered the Braised Ox Cheek with Pomme Puree, BBQ Kale and New Forest Mushrooms with a Red Wine Jus.  This was good.  My wife enjoyed the Pan Fried Line Caught Cornish Sea Bass with Confit of Fennel and Artichokes with White Bean Veloute.  I tried a bite and loved the dish.  We had an excellent waiter who recommended wine with each course.  This was a very quiet and lovely family dinner.
