MARRIOTT NEW ORLEANS - CANAL STREET

MARRIOTT HOTEL
NEW ORLEANS, LA

No hot water for two days.  No shampoo for two days.  Noise at all times of the night.  Need I say more.  Well yes, I will.  Drunks in the elevators, drunks in the lobby and drunk's in front of the hotel at all hours.  Welcome to New Orleans.  While I absolutely love visiting New Orleans for the food.  Most everything else I can live without.  The Marriott on Canal Street is perfectly located to visit the French Quarter, Casino and great restaurants near Bourbon Street.  I was on the 10th floor overlooking Canal Street.  You could hear sirens, people screaming, bands and other noises throughout the night.  Did not sleep well here.  The last two days I awoke to a cold shower.  Waited and waited for some hot water and it never came.  Lucky the inlet water temperature in the city is probably in the high 60's or 70's.  The first two days there was no shampoo in the room.  I went out and bought my own.  On the third day after placing my shampoo on the counter, a bottle of shampoo appeared next to it.  I visited the concierge desk once and was greeted by a person who really did not want to be there or help us out.  I asked her for directions to a restaurant and she blurted out "take a cab".  Ok, I said can you please give me the address.  She looked at me like I was crazy, rolled her eyes and went to her computer to check.  Bell Desk gentlemen were friendly.

BED WAS "MUSHY" IN PLACES.  NOTHING LIKE THE WESTIN
LARGE AND CLEAN ROOM OVERLOOKING CANAL STREET.
YOU COULD HEAR PEOPLE AND SIRENS FROM THE 10TH FLOOR
SMALL DESK AREA TO WORK FROM
