We were doing our own food tour of Little Italy with Lombardi's Pizza being our first stop. Next up we were looking for a place that serves fresh homemade pasta. We walked up and down Mulberry Street where gentlemen in front of restaurants attempt to get you in with fast talking and polite invitations. One guy said the food at his place was "Not so bad". Found Pellegrino's using a dining app and we were not disappointed. We were quickly and politely seated in the late afternoon. In two seconds water was being served and our waiter was eagerly awaiting our order. Since this was a food tour of sorts we were here for one dish. Fresh Pasta. I asked the waiter what pasta was fresh and he mentioned three or four. I went for the Fettuccine with Clams in White Sauce and my friend ordered the same with Red Sauce. I tried both and thought the Red Sauce was better. The fresh pasta was amazing. So different than the store bought hard stuff. Liked the food and service here and would not hesitate to return when back in New York.
