I went back to Uncle's Fish Market and Grill really hoping that it had changed for the better.  Past experience was disappointing due to walk up counter service, high prices and so so food.  Well one thing is better.  They now have table service so you do not have to stand in line and order at the counter.  Now your are seated by a hostess and served by friendly waitresses.  The prices however are still high and the food is good but not great.  I hate to say this because Uncle's is a great little place for lunch or dinner and it has a nice atmosphere that I would bring visitors and business associates to more often if it were affordable for lunch.  There is a reason why Nico's Pier 38 which is located directly across the streets draws huge crowds and often has a line to get in.  The reason is you can have a decent lunch for around $10.  At Uncle's you will spend $20 or more for lunch.  Heck Fish Tacos here are $16.  I ordered a Crab and Avocado Salad ($16.75) and a bowl of Seafood Chowder ($4.95).  That is a $25 lunch without a drink.  Don't know too many workers in the area that can fork over this kind of cash several times a week for lunch.  Bottom line it is just not worth it.  My Crab Salad had that bitter lettuce that I hate.  I like Romaine or good old Iceberg Lettuce in my salads.  Not the fufu stuff that most restaurants have gone to.  What I did not like about the salad is that the crab was just piled on the side and mixed with mayo.   I ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder and I received a Seafood Chowder filled with large pieces of potato, carrots and fish.  Did not taste a clam anywhere.  My friend ordered the Steamed Monchong ($23.95).  Again who can afford this for lunch.  The Monchong was moist and delicious but worth $24 I think not.  Uncle's serves excellent fresh seafood in a relaxed atmosphere near the fishing boats but charges fine dining prices.  Would love to see them offer some more affordable lunch selections so this could be a "go to" restaurant several times a month.

I'll hold the boat steady brother like a rock
Full speed a head until we hit the dock
We're heading for home, the fishing was great
We're comin' in loaded 'cause we're all out of bait
    Well, well, well, well, well
    Oh well now yeah!"
