Enjoyed a really good if not great buffet at Taste in the Westin Guam Resort.  This all buffet restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is frequented by local Guam residents and the loads of tourists from Japan, Korea, China and Russia.  With that type of clientele, the Chef's here must come up with diverse menus to appeal to a wide variety of cultures and tastes.  Looks like they do a good job as everyone in the place was enjoying plate loads of food.  Thursday is Steak and Lobster night at Taste.  For $40 you get all the steak and seafood you can eat plus unlimited beer and margaritas.  If you ask me this is the best dining deal in town especially when you think that just knocking a few beers back can set you back $20.  This buffet was amazing.  Started with a huge salad bar that included all of the mainstream produce plus Calamari Salad, Pasta Salad, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Chicken Salad, Shrimp Salad, Greek Salad and a bunch more.  Everything I tried was fresh and delicious.  The Caesar Salad bar includes chicken and shrimp along with grated Parmesan Cheese.  The Star on this night though was the Steak and Lobster.  There were barrels of Shrimp, Lobster, Crab and Mussels on ice.  Grab a plate and load up as much as you want.  Then throw on some Rib Eye or Sirloin Steaks and hand your plate to the Chef who will cook it on the flattop.  He adds garlic and butter as needed.  After a few minutes your plate is placed in front of the grill and you can grab it and go.  I went for one small piece of Rib Eye and three small lobsters.  Some plates had up to six pieces of steak and a dozen lobsters.  Huge piles of steak and seafood going out here.  Amazing how much some little people can consume.  The steak was good but I found the lobster to be a little tasteless.  I finished my steak and went to the Taco Bar where I found some nice Tacos and Fajitas with all of the condiments to make a great taco.  In addition to the steak, seafood and tacos there are another half dozen hot plates serving Chicken, BBQ Ribs, Seafood with Vegetables, Fresh Fish, Corn on the Cob and even hot dogs and burgers.  The selections here were the best I have seen on Guam or even Hawaii.  Best thing about Taste is that they serve quality food that is fresh.  You don't get all the cheap buffet items here.  There is quantity but also quality.
