ROME METRO SYSTEM - METROPOLITANA

ROME METRO SYSTEM
ROME, ITALY

ROME METRO SYSTEM
ROME, ITALY
HOURS: 5:30 AM - 11:30 PM
METRO RUNS EVERY 7-10 MINUTES

The Rome Metro System (Metropolitana) really saved us a ton of time and money while visiting Rome.  Tickets are only 1.50 Euro per ride or 6 Euro all day.  The trains were reliable and avoid all the traffic and congestion on the streets of Rome.  We used the Metro to visit the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Borghese Museum plus just getting to and from our hotel.  The trains got really crowded during peak morning and late afternoon but the crowds were quiet and polite.  You see every kind of person you can think of on these trains.  Locals and tourists alike were using this transpiration system.  Highly recommend for getting around the city.  While there is graffiti on walls the Metro itself and trains were clean.
