It was a bit late when we arrived back at our hotel not far from the Colosseum in Rome.  We were tired and hungry after walking for almost 12 hours.  We asked the clerk at the front desk for a restaurant recommendation that was walking distance and close.  He recommended Tempio Di Mecenate and then walked us outside to give us directions.  Just down the street and make a right and then a left.  Directions were spot on and we soon arrived at the entrance to Tempio Di Mecentate.  It was close to 10:00 PM and the outside patio was almost full with diners from around the world.  Japanese, Korean, Australian and some British were around us.  The service here was excellent and the food was good.  My daughter was craving steak and she finished the entire plate without letting me or my wife have a bite.  She said it was great.  I sampled the Pizza Napoli with Cheese and Anchovies.  This was a good pizza.  The Penne Arrabbiata was also good.  I was just so tired eating this meal that I cannot remember too much about it except for the fact that we all left satisfied and saying "that was pretty good".
