KIRKLAND ITALIAN SAUSAGE AND BEEF LASAGNA

KIRKLAND ITALIAN SAUSAGE AND BEEF LASAGNA
DINNER AT HOME

I like having a few precooked meals from Costco on hand for those nights when you need a quick meal for the family.  When I saw the beautifully layered Lasagna photo at Costco I grabbed it without hesitation.  At around $17 for two 3 pound trays I figured we could not go wrong as long as it tasted good.  Well the product tasted great and I will make sure we buy more of this Lasagna to keep in the freezer.  The Lasagna when first taken from the oven seemed a little oily but after letting it rest a few minutes and cutting it the oil absorbed into the pasta.  While I had dreams of the Lasagna looking like the photograph on the package, my portion came out looking like a blob.  After one bite I did not care about the look of the pasta.  It tasted great and filled me up.  My entire family liked this Lasagna.  My wife God Bless her gave the second package to a deserving family who's Mom is battling Cancer.  Cooking the Lasagna is a breeze.  Simply remove from the carton and cut two slits in the plastic covering.  Bake at 375 degrees for around 50 minutes.  Then remove the plastic cover and bake another 10 minutes until golden brown.  Oven temperatures may vary so keep an eye on the Lasagna when baking.  The ground meat should reach a minimum temperature of 160 degrees before serving.   Let the Lasagna rest a few minutes before cutting.

  7. I'm not sure why everyone is so impressed with this lasagna. It's awful! It lacks flavor. Please add some seasoning, i.e. salt. It might just make it tolerable. I have another one in the freezer and I know where it will go...! Next time there's a food drive it will go to the needy. They might like it more than my mom and me. Please Costco, get rid of this lasagna, it's giving you a bad name. Sorry for the bad review, but honestly changes need to be made.

    1. As a Chef, I suggest that You and Your mother learn to season to Your own taste. KIRKLAND ITALIAN SAUSAGE AND BEEF LASAGNA may taste perfect to some who like less seasoned food. I like my food spicy, but as a chef, I have to take into consideration that some people are not able to handle spicy food and therefore I must use less seasoning and allow them to add seasoning to their preferred taste.

  8. This is excellent lasagna. It has such taste and flavour with lots of cheese. Love it.
We have served it many times and everyone thought it was home made, every single time ! When we tell them it is from Costco, they are surprised and go buy it for themselves
Please Costco, DO NOT stop making it.

  10. Ok. When we first started buying this a couple years ago it was delicious. When baked,it had a yummy oily sheen with the cheeses bubbling up with lots of yummy sausage and chunks of Italian tomatoes. It was also flavorful.
What happened? Did they change the recipe? The last 3 tubs have been dry, unflavorful. Less cheese, meat and no tomato chunks.. just a bland sauce.
We are bumbed. We loved this stuff. Now it just glop.

    2. This lasagna was so bad we had to throw it our. No one in the family would eat it, tasteless rubbery cheese and bland sauce and all you could taste was over spiced greasy sausage. Never again, too many better frozen lasagnas out there. Dont waste your money, I think many of these reviews must be fake.

  14. The plastic film is an annoyance as it shreds when peeling off and sticks to ones fingers. Must take care in avoiding small pieces of the film from dropping into the lasagna. As for the cheese, it is minimal. I add additional cheese to the trays and then it is pretty good lasagna. From frozen, I find the cooking time much longer than stated. I let it thaw before baking.

  16. I was married at 32 and immediately tried to get pregnant. When I was unable to conceive I had blood tests for fertility and was told that I had an FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) of 54 and would not be able to have children. Even though the doctors knew that I had been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis since age 25, no one bothered to check my thyroid levels. my TSH was measured at .001. My Synthroid dosage was lowered. a friend advise me to contact a spiritualist who help with fertility with his medicine, i collected his contact and explain my situation to him he prepared for me a herbal medicine which i took as describe by him. became pregnant very quickly, I had a successful pregnancy. I have my baby august 2017. to get pregnant at age 35 with my 2nd child in september 2019, thank you sir , this is his email contact if you require his help babaka.wolf@gmail.com or Facebook at priest.babaka
