After spending the weekend at the Aria in Las Vegas we moved about 30 minutes from the Strip and checked into the Red Rock for a business conference.  Check in experience with the bellmen sucked. Our cab arrived directly in front of the entrance and we exited the taxi.  There were two bellmen standing in front talking to each other.  I went to the back of the cab and looked over at the two men talking.  They did not respond.  I then popped the trunk and looked over at them again.  They kept talking.  I took our bags and golf clubs out of the trunk and looked at them again.  Again they just kept talking to each other.  At this point I was pissed.  I walked up to the front and literally took a luggage cart and began rolling it towards the cab.  At this point one of the bellmen came forward and said he would help.  "Forget it" I said "you two guys are too busy for us".  The bellmen said oh no.  He did not know we were checking in? "What" I said.  "A cab parks directly in front of you and two guys get out and unload their luggage and you don't think we are checking in".  The bellmen grabbed the cart and I placed the bags and clubs on the cart still wanting to do this myself.  I gave in and let him take the cart.  Luckily a different guy came to my room with the bags.  Check in at the front desk was a different experience.  The clerk was professional and friendly and quickly checked us in.  I went to the room and turned on the lights.  It was a bit dark for me and I asked the bellmen who brought my bags up if there was more light.  He went over to the night stands and turned on the lights.  Still a bit dark.  The room was excellent.  Clean and comfortable.  Nice shower and tub with television that I actually took the time to enjoy and relax.  The rooms are nice and the casino and restaurants are good too.  Not a bad place to stay off the strip.
