POLYNESIAN FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME DINNER

POLYNESIAN FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME DINNER
HAWAII CONVENTION CENTER
HONOLULU, HI

Attending and helping to sponsor the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Dinner is probably my favorite dinner event of the year.  This is a quality and class act that always makes me tears up at some point in the presentation.  Listening to the life stories of some of the greatest Polynesian athletes is sometimes moving and I love it.  You would be amazed to learn how grounded these men are in their faith, families and football careers.  These larger than life athletes are humble, respectful and filled with a love for life and people.  I saw Maa Tanuvasa the two time Super Bowl Champion with the Denver Broncos and he jumped up and hugged me.  "Where's your family Drew" he asked.  I pointed across the room and Maa said lets go see them.   Right then and there Maa made his way over to my table and hugged my Wife and immediately asked where is our daughter.  In my mind Maa Tanuvasa is one of the greatest men on earth.  Humble, respectful and always smiling.  Making me tear up now just writing this and thinking that I can call Maa my friend.  Ohh.. almost forgot - the food was good too!
