Think I may have found one of the best airline lounges ever. The Star Alliance Lounge inside the Tom Bradley International Terminal at the Los Angeles International Airport may be the best place to hang during a several hour layover. The lounge has both indoor and outdoor seating with a great patio that looks out over the terminal. Not only does this lounge have complimentary beverages but it has a great buffet that includes much more than cheese and crackers. We enjoyed great tasting Salads, Wraps, Cheeses, Fruits, Chicken Pesto, Pasta and an incredible Vietnamese Pho Bar that blew me away. A Vietnamese Pho Bar in an airport lounge? Heck yes and the Pho is great!!
Probably one of the best bowls of Pho I have ever tasted. Probably due in part because you can add a variety of condiments in the quantity that you choose. I loaded my Pho up with Jalapeños, Cilantro, Bean Sprouts, Green Onions, Chicken and Crab. Topped it off with a good bit of hot sauce too.
After a few glasses of champagne, Napa Valley Cabernet and a great meal we were ready to board our next flight which would last 11 hours.
