YUSUPOV PALACE

YUSUPOV PALACE
ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA

Yusupov Palace is the former private residence of one of the richest families in Russia.  It is notable for the beautiful artistic designs of the interiors, its palatial theatre as well as the was exhibition depicting the murder of Gregory Rasputin, which took place in the palace in 1916.  Loved the story of Rasputin with wax figures.  This really brought the story to life and made this one of my favorite places to visit in St. Petersburg.  The Palace is incredible and when you see the Theatre room you can really see how much money was spent on this palace and the way this family lived.  Incredible!

RASPUTIN INVITED TO DINNER AT YUSUPOV PALACE AND THESE GUYS POISONED HIM
THE FIRST ROUND OF POISON DID NOT KILL RASPUTIN SO THEY WENT DOWN STAIRS FOR DRINKS AND HE WAS POISONED AGAIN.  THE POISON DID NOT KILL HIM SO THEY SHOT HIM.  RASPUTIN TRIED TO ESCAPE AND THEY BEAT HIM AND SHOT HIM FOUR MORE TIMES.
RASPUTEN BODY
RASPUTIN'S BODY WAS THEN DUMPED OVER THIS BRIDGE INTO FRIGID WATER.
HE WAS STILL ALIVE AND AUTOPSY REVEALED THAT DROWNING WAS CAUSE OF DEATH
