I am always craving a great deli sandwich like you can find on the mainland.  Just want a sandwich with great bread, meats, veggies and dressing.  HI Sub was good but did not deliver that Italian Deli flavor that I still crave.  This is a small sub shop with a few tables and take out counter.  I entered to find a few people enjoying a sandwich and the crew in back eager to start making sandwiches.  Walked up to the blackboard and reviewed the Favorites.  Ended up going with the HI Duke ($7.75) with Roast Beef, Pastrami and Salami.  Added Jalapeños ($.50) all the veggies, mustard and Italian Dressing.  This sandwich was good but there were no onions, oregano or anything else to elevate the taste.   While the bread was fresh, it did not deliver the flavor or texture of an Italian roll like you get on the mainland.  Really wanted that chewy Italian style bread and think it would really elevate these sandwiches.   The meats were good but the flavor of each meat did not shine through.  Good sandwich but not great.  

UPDATE:  Went back a second time and ordered the HI Rainbow ($7.75) and again concluded that you could not distinguish the tastes of the meats.  Also know for sure that is the wrong bread for the sandwiches.  It is too soft and sweet.
