I am not a big lover of Halo-halo which is a Filipino dessert made up of ice cream, shaved ice, sweet red beans, coconut and other fruits/flavors but my Daughter loves the stuff. I thought Magnolia Ice Cream just served regular ice cream and was quite surprised to see that it specializes in this Filipino favorite. I went for a standard cup of Rocky Road while my Daughter enjoyed a Halo-halo with a bright purple scoop of Ube (Purple Yam) ice cream. She said it was one of the best she has had in Hawaii but not as good as the ones she enjoys in the Philippines.
