Our room at the Intercontinental Resort in Tahiti included breakfast each morning at Te Tiare. This is an open air non air conditioned restaurant overlooking the beautiful pool at the hotel. The terraced seating assures that every table has a view. For breakfast there is a buffet that includes eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, fruits and some terrible juices. Juices served at the buffet line seemed watered down and not fresh. A fresh glass of juice will run you around $14 US. Breakfast here did not impress and if it were not included with the room we would have not eaten here. Lunch was better with my Daughter scoring a huge burger that looked and tasted delicious. I enjoyed a Sesame Tuna dish that was spectacular. Delicious and perfectly presented piece of Tuna served with a Cream Sauce that was heaven. Loved it. The Chicken Polynesian was good according to my Wife who likened it to Hawaiian Lau Lau. Prices here are high with Sunday breakfast running about $65 per person and totally not worth it. There is a 13% tax and 4% Service Charge added to all checks. A glass of champagne with your meal will run you over $30 per glass.
