My golf weekend in Kona included a two night stay at the Sheraton Resort on Keauhou Bay.
While this hotel is a few miles from Kailua-Kona town, it was pretty perfect for our needs which was sleeping and drinking. Room was pretty basic with a very small bathroom. My room had two lanais that overlooked the convention center and parking lot. I never opened the drapes. Staff was polite, smiling and helpful. Enjoyed two evenings out at the pool bar listening to a very talented singer who captivated us with his vocals and arrangements. Only ate pupu's while listening to music and they were pretty good. The hotel is family friendly with huge pools and dramatic volcanic views.
