CAESAREA GOLF CLUB, ISRAEL
The absolute BEST meal during our entire trip to Israel, Egypt and Jordan was at Mariposa. This great restaurant is located at the Caesarea Golf Club which is the ONLY golf course in Israel. We had left touring Caesarea and I saw the golf course. Asked our guide if we could stop in for a look and he said yes because he had never been there before. Entered to find a small Pro Shop and two incredible restaurants. One was indoor/outdoor seating with a great patio overlooking the course. The other was a more upscale restaurant on the second floor overlooking the course. I took one look and asked the guide if we had time to have lunch here. He said sure so we got a table. Service and food were totally OUTSTANDING. By far the best food we had during our trip. Everything was good and I really enjoyed the Israel wine from the Golan Heights Region. Highly recommend this restaurant and we were dreaming about eating here again every day of our trip after we left.
