Torrey Pines South Golf Course is a gem. A piece of golf history that has hosted the greatest players in the World and the U.S. Open. This is a public course but if you are not a San Diego resident you do not get to pay the local rate of around $75 but rather around $250 with cart. Getting a tee time is pretty simple. Just go to their website and start clicking your dates. The course was in great shape on this day but holes #7 and #18 were not in use due to major renovation for the 2022 U.S. Open. They did give us a discount for not having these two holes open. Every time I visit Torrey I am impressed with the friendliness of the Golf Shop and Clubhouse Staff. Everyone is nice and smiles which is not the case at some clubs. I have walked into some great golf shops or clubhouses only to have staff look at you like you don't belong. Here everyone belongs and it is a great feeling.
