Highly recommend Oasis on the Beach for its location, food and outdoor relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed the Head On Shrimp Étouffée as an appetizer, Also liked the Duck Wings. The Kekaha Clams however missed the mark with the sauce. It was terrible. Unlike any Clam sauce I have ever tasted. Don't think the others at the table liked it because nobody at the clams and no-one dipped bread as you would normally do. Might have been the turmeric. Loved the way you can order protein by the ounce here. This was perfect as we had a few appetizers and did not want a large portion for dinner. I went with the Caprese Style Tomatoes with fresh fish for my entree and was blown away. This was one of the best dishes I have had in all Hawaii. The Tomatoes, House Made Ricotta and Balsamic was a taste of heaven. Paired with a perfectly cooked piece of fresh local fish this truly was a great meal. I savored each bite and will remember these flavors forever. When we return to Kauai, I will be booking an outdoor table for sunset at Oasis on the Beach and ordering the Caprese Style Tomatoes again. It is that good!
