What a great lunch in the South Park neighborhood of San Diego. A warm day with patio seating in the middle of a residential area with history and architecture. The food and service here were excellent and the only complaint is that we did not have the appetite or time to try more great items on the menu. This is definitely a place we want to return to soon. Started with the Rustica Salad ($10). A mound of fresh crisp greens topped with Prosciutto. The dressing was perfect and this was a very light and satisfying start to our meal. The waitress recommended the Mushroom and Cheese Ravioli and we were not disappointed. The pasta and filling was perfect with a very light butter and sage sauce. This was pasta perfection. The combination of flavors was something to remember. The Margherita Pizza ($11) was exactly as billed. The charred crust added flavor and the sauce was great.
Had never seen Cherry Tomatoes on a Pizza but they were fresh and added to the layers of flavor. Really good Pizza!
