Dropped into Nabeya Maido hoping to dine in but found out they can only serve takeout at this time. The owner, Kevin was at the front of the house to greet us and explain that he cannot open up at this time because the restaurant is part buffet self service. This sent my mind raging with thoughts of how messed up this COVID19 thing is for small business owners. Kevin and thousands of other restaurant owners are working hard and trying to survive but with each week, it gets more difficult especially when you cannot see the end in site. Makes me sick. People who have invested in, and built successful restaurants and small businesses are being shattered because of the virus. Not being able to dine in and enjoy a Hot Pot was discouraging but Kevin said we could order for takeout with all the fresh, local ingredients and meats. We ordered and took the food and broth home. Cooked it up in minutes and it was delicious. My Daughter who is a Hot Pot connoisseur said this is the BEST Hot Pot food on Oahu and believe me her and her friends have tried them all.
