I first saw Eggslut on one of my Food or Travel Channels and wanted to try it when visiting Los Angeles. We arrived at 8AM when they opened the doors to the Grand Central Market and there was already a line forming. I knew that I wanted to try the Slut ($9) which is a coddled Egg on top of Potato Puree. Not something I would have dreamed up but boy I wish I had. This thing was crazy delicious. The creamy potatoes mixed with the runny egg, salt and green onion. Wow....a symphony of flavor. Spread it on the baquette and you have one of the best breakfasts ever. I had just a little and when I looked up my Daughter was basically licking the jar which I guess they give you to take home. Also tried the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich with Avocado ($10.25). The soft and sweet Brioche Bun made this sandwich special but the Bacon was the star of the show. Really couldn't taste the Avocado as there was not much on the sandwich. Tasted great though.
