Never in a million years would I have thought that I would dine at Nusr-Et and meet Salt Bae. An experience to remember for sure and one hell of an evening. I have watched the king of steak serving royalty, athletes, models and superstars his gold plated steaks for years on social media. When my friend said he was in Las Vegas for the month of March, we booked a reservation for 9:00PM because I had a business meeting earlier. Arrived to find the place hopping and we were immediately taken to a nice table in the middle of the restaurant. We all scanned the room looking for Salt Bae and there he was in his signature white t-shirt and dark glasses. He was working the room taking pictures and talking with everyone. He approached our table and gladly took photographs before moving onto the next table. Everyone wanted time with him and he provided it with class. We ordered the Oysters to start and they arrived fresh and chilled. Probably some of the best Oysters I have ever eaten. The Steak Tartare was next and it was a show. The Chef chopped the beef table side making sure everyone enjoyed his humerous methods. Great show. Next up was the steak and Salt Bae himself came to the table and cut it with his precision style. Cameras all over were rolling when he stepped back and took a hand full of salt and gently let it flow onto the steak. Pure showmanship and pure fun. Again more pictures and then came the dessert. Baklava is the only dessert served here and it is brought to the table and served in what could be the best dessert preparation in Las Vegas. A show unto itself with the server making us laugh continuously. After our meal Salt Bae came back over to the table and chatted then of course more pictures. What a great night of good food and fun. Definitely one of the most entertaining dinners of my life. How much did it cost? Well that is a secret that my friend who picked up the tab only knows.
