After spending a few days in Venice and then traveling to Brescia, Italy for business we had one more night back in Venice. During our stay I had been reading about the legend and history of the Cipriani Hotel and began to dream of staying there. Since we needed a room for one night I went online to see if we could book a room. I found a great weekday price which while still high was not in the league of other rates for the hotel. I booked it and soon after the rate almost doubled. We took a Water Taxi from the Venice airport and soon we saw the world famous Cipriani from the canal. Wow....what a site. We were greeted by Bellmen in suits who welcomed us and took our bags. Everyone was so friendly as they escorted us through the courtyard and into the hotel. We were taken just off the lobby to a room where we were checked in while sitting at a desk and drinking complimentary champagne. From there on it was pure heaven. Six Star service where everyone immediately knows your name and treats you like royalty. A buffet breakfast is included in the room price and we loved sitting on the patio enjoying coffee and a light meal. This was pure heaven for people that don't usually take time for a full breakfast. I sat there wishing this moment would not end. Just that good. We enjoyed two lunches by the pool and they were incredible. Definitely one of my favorite lunch spots ever. Dinner at Cip's Club was magical too as we overlooked Venice on a crisp evening that was beautiful. Probably THE BEST hotel experience of our lives.
