Once we heard the story about Luwak Coffee we just had to try it. The Luwak which is a type of Mongoose consume the coffee beans from the farm and then poop them out. The coffee beans are fermented as they pass through the intestines, and after being defecated with other fecal matter, they are collected to make the coffee. The process is time consuming and thus the coffee is very expensive. Does it taste like shit? No. Taste like a really strong cup of coffee. Not something that I would drink but filled with health benefits according to our tour.
