IMAGES OF SEOUL - KOREA

My gals love Korea and my Daughter wants to live there.  I love it too.  Seoul is a beautiful city that is organized, clean, modern and vibrant.  There are a zillion coffee shops if you are a coffee lover.  Literally on every corner and in every neighborhood.  There are a lot of shopping areas and my gals liked the clothes better than some US brands.  Makeup and skin care is big here so be prepared to spend some time in those shops.  The shops do not have seating so be ready to stand everywhere you go.  There are very few trash cans around the city.  You really need to look hard to find trash receptacles.  The streets are clean, free of homeless people and drugs.  The people are incredibly friendly and will always help you when asked.  The older cab drivers will always ask where you are from and when you say "American" they light up and want to talk.  One shared photos of his time in the Army where he served alongside US troops.  When we departed the cab he yelled "I love you".  Another one pulled out a stamp with Jimmy Carter and the Korean President and gave it to my Daughter.  Little things and experiences like this make you want to come back to Korea.  Korean people dress very well, they are for the most part very quiet and they show respect and class.  Whether you are on the streets, in the train station or in shops, there is a sense of calm here.  We felt safe walking the streets morning, noon and into the late night.  Never experienced anything negative happening during our entire visit.  There were a few political demonstrations but they were organized and did not get out of control.  Beer and Soju and king here with wine not being available in a lot of the local restaurants and non tourists spots.  Food options are all over the globe but I highly recommend you try as much Korean food as possible.  Lots of meat and vegetables with carbs coming from mostly noodles and rice.  They love their sweets here too with most coffee shops selling cakes and desserts.  We really did not want to leave and wished we could stay longer.
