Did a round trip from San Francisco to Pleasanton to visit a friend for lunch. There were a few characters coming on and off the train, but for the most part the ride was comfortable and safe. Going through Oakland was an awakening as the city was in pretty bad shape with lots of homeless camps, abandon buildings and the old Oakland A's Stadium looking like an area out of a movie where gangs and zombies have taken over. Really sad site. We got to Pleasanton in about 45 minutes for $17 roundtrip per person. This was our third or fourth trip to San Francisco without renting a car. I Like using Uber/Lyft and Bart rather than paying for a car and super expensive hotel parking. Don't have to worry about parking too.
