LAS PALMAS - GRAND CANARIA

LAS PALMAS
GRAND CANARIA

Before Columbus discovered the New World, the archipelago of the Canary Islands was the westernmost point on the charts.  Just off the coast of Africa in the Atlantic Ocean, this was the last stop for the Genoese explorer before venturing into the great unknown.  And in the centuries that followed, these Spanish-ruled islands served as the bridge between Europe and the America's.  Gran Canaria is the most populated of the seven islands, with a unique blend of Spanish, African, Latin America and Northern Europe influences.
