JJ Bistro continues to be one of my all time favorite neighborhood restaurants.  It has been awhile since we have dined here so we decided to go back and see if it was still worthy as a Taste of Hawaii Favorite.  After the meal I can say that "yes" this is still one of my blog favorites!  The entire family enjoyed the soup, appetizer and entrees.  You can order a 4 Course Meal Special here for $24.70.  This includes the Soup of the Day, Appetizer, Entree and Dessert.  The soup on this day was Crab and Corn Chowder.  This was a light soup that was not too thick and filled with small pieces of crab and creamed corn.  Delicious.  The Baked Lobster Avocado was also delicious.  Small chunks of lobster atop a nice piece of bread and topped with mozzarella cheese, chef's special sauce and a whole lot of mayonnaise.  Served on a bed of Avocado Sauce with sprouts, Chopped Green Apple and a few dots of Sriacha Sauce.  I love this dish but there is just a little too much mayo for my taste.  For our entrees, I went with the Lobster Pad Thaid ($18.95 Ala Carte).  The presentation was beautiful with a nice lobster tail sitting atop the Pad Thai Noodles.  Only complaint is that I wanted more.  More Pad Thai and more Lobster.  The dish was delicious and I had to fight my daughter off from eating all the Pad Thai and Bean Sprouts.  The Baked Opakapaka with Fettuccine ($24.70 Complete Meal) is a family favorite.  The Opakapaka is always perfectly cooked and so is the pasta.  Served with a spicy and sweet sauce with julienned vegetables.  Love this dish.  Only complaint again is we all wanted more.  My daughter went for the Lamb Wellington ($18.95 Ala Carte).  Two perfectly cooked pieces of Lamb served in a blanket of Puffed Pastry with a light creamy sauce.  Served with Potatoes, Green Peas and Red Bell Pepper.  Again we wanted more.  All of the food here was good and our plates were sent back looking sparkling clean as we had eaten everything on the plates.  Next up was the famous JJ's Chocolate Pyramid Cake. This was included with the Four Course Special.  Served with a small side of Creme Brûlée.  Simply decadent and delicious.  Ahhhh.....what a great meal.  Love JJ's Bistro.  Click below for other posts on JJ's Bistro;
