Took another run into Manoa and tried to quench my hunger for Mexican food at Serg's. Unfortunately my urge was not satisfied. Serg's is not bad but it does not deliver the Mexican flavors that I dream about after a trip to California. I also don't like the dirty window where you order and the salsas that are left out in the heat on a table. They do put a little ice under the salsa dispensers but it is not too sanitary out there. I know Serg's has its followers and I am glad they have a go to Mexican restaurant that they enjoy. On this visit I we tried Serg's Famous Flauta and Carne Asada Tacos. The Carne Asada Tacos are huge and contain a nice pile of meat. Really too much for me. I took half off each tortilla and added some Avocado Sauce and Hot Sauce. Not bad but nothing I would run back for. The Flauta was filled with chicken but the chicken has no seasoning or taste.
