When my buddy said we were playing Eagle Glen I was a bit surprised. I was in L.A. and wanted to play Trump National, Riviera or Pelican Hill in Newport. You'll love it he said. "It's in the hills". The hills of Corona. Why would we golf in Corona I thought. Turns out he got the green fees on this day for $40. He is a frugal little rich guy so he was happy as can be. Smiling from ear to ear as he happily paid the fees. He looked down at the receipt several times and smiled. It was true, only eighty bucks for two. Bottom line is that I loved this course. The views were beautiful and the course was very challenging. I was a bit stressed when a guy said to watch out for snakes in the bushes. Low and behold there was a dead snake on one green. Murdered by a golfer with his driver. This is a great course and probably one of the best public courses I have ever played. Would play here again and again. Sometimes being frugal pays dividends but c'mon Chris, I'm the customer and want to play Riviera!
