Solace and the Moonlight Cafe is one of my friends favorite restaurants. He lives in Encinitas has has dined here regularly so I knew we were in good hands. Good hands and good food. Love our dinner here. I enjoyed a FANTASTIC cup of Clam Chowder. Probably one of the best chowders I have had in a very long time. Could have ate a gallon of this stuff. The fresh Oysters were delicious and each variety was explained in detail by our waiter. He was well versed on the menu. The Sea Bass was cooked perfectly. Moist and flavorful. I did not get all the stuff below the fish. Too many ingredients and textures. The fish however was great. I tried the Pork Belly and it was amazing. Melted in my mouth like butter and full of flavor. I was so full after this meal that I could not even think about ordering dessert. My daughter ordered the Chocolate Marshmallow and I tried a bite. Then another bite and another. This thing was the bomb. Despite being full I could have eaten the entire dessert. Service was great and the evening flew by too fast.
