After a round of wonderful golf at Turnberry our caddy recommended we have dinner at Wildings which is just a couple of minutes from the golf course. We called ahead to reserve a table and when we arrived the place was packed and our table was ready. We were happily seated by one of the nicest and most gracious wait staffs I have ever experienced. Customer service here is awesome. There were no less than eight different people tending to our table at different times. All were super nice and professional. The food here was among the best or THE BEST I had during my entire stay in Scotland. A three course meal is 23.50 pounds or just under $40 U.S. Worth every penny. I enjoyed the Chef's Pate, Salmon and Crayfish Chowder and the Steak/Lobster Combo. All were fantastic. Think I finished everything on my plates before having a bite of each of our three desserts. Wildings is a winner and not to be missed if you golf or visit Turnberry.

As a "local" I can only agree with the great review of this restaurant. South Ayrshire is well known in Scotland for great restaurants, the "mini shan't inn" is also very good but Wildings is superb! Please do not pay 2/3 times the price of the Turnberry when this local place is so much better. Mr Trump I wish you all the best with your new venture and hope you visit wildings to give you an idea of the competition. Also if you are a golfer the Ailsa is of course the best, but please if you get a chance play the Kyntyre which is also a great course. Enjoy your visit to Scotland you are welcome!
