I love Trump National Los Angeles. The views are amazing and the course is beautiful and challenging. We started are day at Trump with a great breakfast in the Golfers Lounge. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and was pretty amazed with all the food on the plate. Large portions served here. Liked the Huevos Rancheros but it was not great. From the time you tee off on the spectacular Hole 1 to the worlds most expensive golf hole on 18 this is a golf day that is hard to beat anywhere in the world. The staff at Trump National is great. The starter who's name is Manny is a perfect gentlemen with ties to Hawaii. He greets me with Hawaiian phrases, shakes my hand and welcomes me to the club each time I visit. Manny has that special spirit that I cannot explain. The kind of guy that as soon as you meet him you feel like you have been friends for life. Manny set us up with our carts and we headed to what has to be the most beautiful practice range view in all the world. The range overlooks the cliffs of Palos Verdes and the Pacific ocean. Does not get much better than this. Trump National grabs your attention when you walk up to the elevated tee box on Hole #1. Probably one of my most favorite holes in golf. Simply spectacular. The Hole features and elevated green with a waterfall backdrop that truly is remarkable. I just wanted to sit on the green and take it all in. This is why I love to golf. To experience beautiful places like this that literally take your breath away. After #1 the course meanders through the cliffs and demands you hit the ball straight or else you will be buying more balls from the Beer Cart Girl. Yes, the Beer Cart sells golf balls because so many are lost to the cliffs here. I donated a few to the hills and bushes too. There were times when this course really humbled me. Made me think that I really need to "think" about my shots and plan a strategy to avoid the bunkers and hitting it out of bounds. Enjoyed my round and really feel lucky to play this course.
