HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
DINNER AT HOME

Wishing my girls, family and friends a very Happy Valentine's Day.  I am blessed to have the two best Valentines 365 days a year!  On this Valentine's Day I made eggs, sausage and pear breakfast and we enjoyed a quiet dinner at home.  Dinner included Cornish Game Hens with a Sausage and Apple
Stuffing, Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Shallots plus some delicious and Buttery Mashed Potatoes.
Don't know what my Wife did to the Brussels Sprouts but they were the best ever.  Full of Bacon flavor with a hint of sweetness.  Picked up the Cornish Game Hens at Costco for around $3 each so this entire meal for three was under $15 total. Super delicious and satisfying.  Comfort food on Valentine's Day.  I was so full that I forgot to bring out dessert for my girls.  Missed the Strawberries with Cream on Spongecake.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
BREAKFAST FOR MY GIRLS - EGG, SAUSAGE AND SLICED PEARS
PROSCIUTTO WRAPPED PEAR APPETIZER
CORNISH GAME HEN WITH BRUSSELS SPROUTS AND MASHED POTATOES
STUFFED THE HENS WITH A SAUSAGE AND APPLE STUFFING
Made stuffing in ten minutes.  Simply cooked the sausage and then added two tablespoons of butter to pan and sautéed garlic, onions, celery and apples.  Added 1/2 cup of chicken stock and heated.  Finished with sage, thyme, salt and pepper.  Did not add any bread crumbs.  Placed the stuffing inside the Cornish Game Hens before baking in oven.
