DINNER ON OUR BUNGALOW DECK - TAHITI

DINNER ON OUR BUNGALOW DECK
PAPEETE, TAHITI

When you are lucky enough to have a beautiful Bungalow Suite at the Intercontinetal Resort in Tahiti, there is no need to leave your room to enjoy a great dinner and view.  We had room service delivered on this night and while the food was just ok, the view and ambiance was amazing.  We enjoyed this meal family style with everyone having a little bit of everything.  This is pretty much how we eat when traveling so everyone can try different dishes.  We started with a Caesar Salad.  The Romaine Lettuce used in Tahiti is different than in Hawaii or the U.S.A.  It is grittier and has less taste.  Makes for an underwhelming salad.  The Spicy Prawns proved to be delicious and were the best part of this meal.  The Spaghetti Bolognese was pretty bland and the pasta was overcooked.  The Steak and Foie Gras were great.  This was a perfect evening of food, wine and family!
