Made a second visit back to Le Lotus not so much for the food but for the view and experience.
Absolutely love this venue, view and atmosphere.  This has to be one of the most beautiful restaurant locations in the world.  We made our reservation right before sunset and there were only a few tables seated in the entire restaurant.  Felt like we had the view to ourselves and as the sun set over the Island of Moorea. We took it all in and felt so lucky to be here.  The sunset was the star on this evening as the food just did not hit the mark.  I tried the Swordfish and Sashimi as an appetizer.  The fish was wrapped over large pieces of a cheese like filling that overpowered the fish completely.  I ended up unwrapping the second piece of Swordfish and just enjoying the smoked fish.  The Mahi Mahi served with Fettuccini was perfectly cooked but lacked any type of sauce for the pasta or Mahi Mahi.  This dish could be a 10 with a good sauce.   The Fois Gras with Tuna appetizer was excellent. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious.  The Duck was chewy according to my Wife and lacked flavor.  My Daughter loved her Lamb but got so full she did not have dessert.  This is such a great place.  Just wished the food was a bit better for the price.
