Love making Carne Asada Tacos at home.  They taste better than most all Mexican restaurants in Hawaii and satisfy our craving for Mexican food.  Made fresh Guacamole, Pico de Gallo and Salsa which really adds to the flavor.  So darn good!

When I saw this enormous Tomahawk Ribeye at Sam's Club for $34 I just had to buy it.  Wasn't craving meat but just thought it was a great deal as we paid over $100 for a Tomahawk Ribeye at a local restaurant recently.  Simply coated the Ribeye with Salt, Pepper and a bit of Brown Sugar.  Seared all sides on a very hot skillet and then finished in the oven at 450 degrees for ten minutes.  Perfectly cooked medium rare steak in just minutes.  Tasted delicious and our family of three did not even put a dent in this steak.  Had leftovers for days.  While I prefer the taste of a small Filet, this was a great steak for the price.  Fun to look at too!

Visited Restaurant 604 for a Special Event for The First Tee Hawaii.  Loved the view of Pearl Harbor and Waianae Mountains from our table.  Enjoyed some really good platters served to our table.  First up was fresh Poke served on an eatable spoon.  Super presentation and eating the spoon was cool too.  Next up was Shrimp and it was delicious.  The Chicken Skewers also good and the Lamb Chops superb.  Really thought the food was good.  Service also good.

We grabbed some takeout from Paina Cafe and took it out to a table overlooking Koko Marina.  Don't know what was wrong but I took one bite of my Seared Ahi Salad and was not hungry.  Cannot really say if I like this place.  My Daughter loved her Poke Bowl and my Wife enjoyed the Chinese Chicken Salad.

Love our homemade Crunchy Shredded Beef Tacos.  Probably one of my favorite meals.  Enjoyed these two bad boys with a glass of Cabernet!

Amazed how fast my lovely Bride cooked up these delicious Carne Asada Tacos at home.  She made the Guacamole, Pico de Gallo and Carne Asada in what seemed just minutes.  As for the taste - Awesome!

Broken Rice was just so so until the Beef Pho showed up at the table.  Then this place went to another level of delicious.  The Beef Rib Pho ($18) while expensive was delicious.  The Beef literally fell off the bone and was infused with great flavor.  Probably one of the best bowls of Pho I have ever had.  Entire family said "wow" to this dish and loved it.  The Spring Rolls ($9) while cooked perfectly really lacked filling and flavor.  Problem was that they were all wrapper and not enough filling.  If these had more filling they would be good.  The Special Broken Rice ($16) with Pork Chop and Chicken was good tasting but nothing really special. Chicken Bun Ga ($13) was good. 

Overall the Beef Rib Pho saved this place for us.  I will go back for that $18 bowl of Pho again!

Saw this super fresh Opah at the market and just had to buy it.  This fish was so fresh and tasted delicious.  Served on a bed of Sautéed Hamakua Mushrooms with White Wine, Garlic, Shallots, Cream and Butter Sauce.  Sooo good!

 Enjoyed one heck of a one year old birthday party at the Brilliant Ox.  When someone takes the entire restaurant over for a party and opens the bar you know it was a good time.  Loved the cocktail menu and enjoyed this party immensely.
