Driving out of downtown San Diego with no schedule or place to be for hours. Wow this was a weird experience as we are always on the go and rarely enjoying a breakfast. Saw people lined up and a sign that read "Best Breakfast in San Diego" so we drove around the block and stopped into Breakfast Republic. Believe me this is a very rare experience and I found myself thinking about why we don't do this more often and how busy our schedule usually is when we travel. This felt like being retired with nothing to do. Incredible and relaxing feeling that was awkward yet very enjoyable......
Service here was excellent even when we were waiting in line. Employees smiling and friendly.
I ordered the Crab and Crawfish Eggs Benedict with Avocado and Tomato. Wow....what layers of flavor. The Tomato and Avocado are a MUST and the jam is a surprising burst of flavor. Pretty perfect Benedict that I loved. The Potatoes with Brussels Sprouts side was also delicious. My Wife enjoyed the Jambalaya with Eggs and Tortillas. Like me she was in breakfast heaven and happy.
What a delightful treat to enjoy a morning breakfast with no rush and place to be.
