Enjoyed Easter Brunch at the beautiful Hoakalei Country Club. The non-self service buffet was unique as you went down the line divided by plexiglass and told the Chef what you wanted on the plate. While the food selections were a bit limited what they did have was pretty good. I especially liked the Prime Rib served with a delicious and deep flavored Au Jus. The Baked Chicken also had nice flavor as did the Asparagus with Hollandaise Sauce. My favorite appetizer was Poke placed in a pillow of Egg with Rice. They charged extra for the Crab Legs but they were worth the extra money. What really lacked for Easter Brunch were the desserts. No chocolate, fruit, cakes or pie. Just pastries that looked they could have been purchased at Costco. Why there were no desserts surprised our entire table. Service was great with our waitress doing everything possible to keep our beverages filled and smiles on our faces. Love Hoakalei Country Club!
