I am a huge fan of Scoma's in San Francisco. Probably have eaten there more than any single restaurant in the city and love it. Scoma's across the Bay in Sausalito is good but I prefer the original in San Francisco. On this visit we enjoyed a great lunch on a beautiful summer day. The views from Scoma's were amazing. There are a few outdoor tables fronting the Bay view but we opted for indoor seating next to large windows that gave us the view without the wind. At Scoma's you always begin your meal with warm Sourdough Bread. I love this stuff. Probably one of my favorite breads in the World. Next up were the Grilled Artichokes. The table loved them but I don't get all the fuss about Artichokes. Just not my thing. I ordered the Lazy Cioppino. It is one of my favorite dishes at Scoma's San Francisco. It is called "lazy" because all of the seafood is removed from the shells so you can just dig in and eat without taking time to remove the shells. Compared to the San Francisco Cioppino the serving was small and lacked the flavor of the City version. I was a bit disappointed because I remember how much I loved my last Cioppino at Scoma's San Francisco. Cannot complain though it was still good here.
