Blessed to hit two of our all time favorite restaruants over the weekend. First was Side Street Inn and now Arancino at The Kahala. Arancino never lets us down. The food and service is always great. Maria the General Manager is the most gracious host with her welcoming bright smile and focus on making your dining experience special. I knew what I wanted on this night as soon as we walked in the door. No need to look at the menu. Caviar with Ebe and Carbonara Pasta. That's it. My Wife ordered the Tasting Menu which meant we had a few extra dishes to share. She loves the Lobster Bisque as do me and my daughter. Has to be one of the best Lobster Bisques in Hawaii. Absolutely delicious. The Caviar with Ebe is one of my favorite appetizers ever. Creamy raw shrimp topped with Caviar. This is so good eating slowly with a glass of champagne or chardonnay. I take my time and savor every bite. We like the Caprese Salad. The tomatoes are chilled to perfection giving the dish a light, fresh and cool flavor. Only wish they would use Heirloom or sliced Tomato. Seems like I always get the Carbonara with Truffles but on this night they did not have Truffles. Still enjoyed the pasta less the Truffles. The Squid Ink Pasta with Calamari was amazing. The light, slightly spicy sauce makes this one of our favorites. Definitely would go back again for this and the Carbonara. There are only a handful of restaurants we go back to time and time again. Arancino at The Kahala is one of them!
