THE GOLF CLUB AT DOVE MOUNTAIN - MARANA, ARIZONA

The Golf Club at Dove Mountain outside Tucson, Arizona was one of the most enjoyable and beautiful courses I have ever played.  Absolutely loved every minute on this course even though my game was pretty bad.  Just had to keep looking around and take it all in.  Found myself saying over and over "wow, this is beautiful".  The Jack Nicklaus designed course is in the middle of the dessert and carved into the natural beauty of Arizona.  The course hosted the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship from 2009 to 2014 but after many golfers complained about the greens the course was taken off the PGA schedule.  Tiger Woods was quoted as saying that the greens here should be blown up.  While the course has been improved we did find the greens to be difficult with the ball turning on many holes right before the cup.  Hey, I am no Pro golfer so WTF thought the place was awesome.  Really wanted to play again here but don't think I will ever get back to Tucson where the course is located just out of town by an Outlet Mall.  Hey that's the answer.  I tell the family we are going shopping at an Outlet Mall.  Just won't tell them it is in the Arizona desert.  Loved this course!
