UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII FOOTBALL LUAU

ALEC WATERHOUSE MEMORIAL
UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII FOOTBALL LUAU
UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII

One day after the teams only victory of the season vs Army the Warrior Nation came together after a day of pounding thunderstorms to recognize the team and their most outstanding players.  We were proud to attend the Football Awards Luau which was held under a large white tent in the middle of the soccer field at the University.  Despite the lousy weather and even more lousy 1-11 season there was a good crowd of players, coaches and supporters.  The evening included Hawaiian music, Hula and a Fire Dancer.  The food was fair at best but this was not a culinary event.  We were here to show our support to the University of Hawaii Football Team who despite a terrible record showed great poise and class by sticking together and playing hard every play and every game.  I truly believe that you need to support your team during the tough times rather than jump on the bandwagon during the good times.  While I have a lot to say about the season and coaching staff, I will keep my trap shut and pray that we can turn things around next year.  Thanks to all the fans who support Hawaii athletics and Na Koa which is the fundraising arm for the football team.
