Was very surprised to find that the Honolulu Museum of Art has a great Cafe that serves up one of the best lunches in Honolulu.  This is a fabulous place for a business lunch and a great place to relax.  When you enter the Museum simply let the guards know that you have a reservation at the Cafe.  They will let you into the museum but you are limited to the Cafe and Gift Shop unless you want to test security and walk through the exhibits.  The Cafe is open air and set amidst some beautiful sculptures and artwork in the courtyard adjacent to the Gift Shop.  I recommend getting a reservation because they have set seating times between 11:30 and 1:30 only.  Service is relaxed and professional.  On this visit we chose to sit outside the main dining area at a table with umbrella overlooking a nice water feature and huge pots.  Love it here.  We started with the Anaheim Peppers ($14.95).  Roasted Peppers with garlic, olive oil, capers and anchovies served with Focaccia Bread.  The Peppers are not hot.  The entire table loved this appetizer and I would order it again and again.  For my entree, I tried the Filet Mignon Sandwich ($21.95).  Served on a house made bun with lettuce, tomato and a red onion Dijon caper relish.  I think the relish ruined the flavor of the steak.  There was a potent taste that overpowered the burger.  I gave half of my burger to a friend and he said the same thing.  The burger is served with a small salad with walnuts and very light dressing.  My friend enjoyed the Nicoise Salad ($19.95) with Seared Ahi and shallot vinaigrette.  Said it was good.  The Pasta of the Day with Shrimp and Spinach looked and tasted great according to our other friend.  For dessert we tried a fruit thing with ice cream.  Apples with brown sugar and cinnamon.  Not bad and refreshing.  This is a great place for a relaxing lunch and I am looking forward to returning soon.
