Craving my homemade Drew Burger so I made them for lunch. If I were on the mainland we would have just went to In N' Out Burger but since they are not in Hawaii I make my own version. It is so good!

Blessed to be able to provide 50 meals for needy families in Honolulu. Purchased delicious, fresh and healthy Ramen and Udon Bowls from Nabeya Maido in Market City Shopping Center. The owner,
Kevin Suehiro is an incredible guy who has had to pivot his business to takeout due to COVID-19.
He came up with these microwavable bowls that you just heat and eat. Don't have to add water or anything and the meal comes out tasting delicious. We delivered the bowls to the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii Spalding Clubhouse in Honolulu where they were distributed to needy families. During these difficult times it is good to give back, feed people and support local small businesses. #blessed!

CHOCOLATE COVERED MACADAMIA NUTS TO CALIFORNIA
After seeing the destruction from fires in Napa Valley on TV and reading a bit more about in an email from Tamber Bey Winery I decided to do something to support the Fire Fighters. Purchased 144 boxes of Chocolate Covered Macadamia Nuts from Menehune Mac which makes each chocolate by hand in their small production facility in Kalihi. I packaged them up in boxes and with the help of my co-workers we put signs on each box showing our support. Shipped them all to Tamber Bey Winery and then Jennifer Waite the owner of the Winery delivered them to Firefighters in Calistoga. Mahalo to all of the brave and hard working first responders and firefighters who put their lives on the line each day to protect us and our property. True heroes in my book!

My Daughter invited a friend over for dinner so I asked her what she wanted me to cook.
To my surprise she said she wanted a Charcuterie Platter with Cheeses, Grapes and Poke.
To see her expression, hand gestures and excitement made me so happy. She was visualizing the food
and talking all about it. I decided that I would not let her down and set out to make the best
platter of food she had ever seen. Think I did pretty good and we all enjoyed this Pupu style dinner
on the lanai. Everything was perfect including the weather until we started talking politics.

PIZZA AND HOT WINGS
DINNER AT HOME
When I asked my Wife and Daughter if they wanted Pizza and Wings for dinner they both said yes right away. I was kind of surprised because they are always saying they want to eat healthy. Well I don't know if this dinner was healthy but it sure was delicious. I started with a frozen Zuppardi's Pizza from West Haven, CT. The Pizza came with just sausage on it so I doctored it up with Pepperoni, Red Onion and Jalapeño. Cooked for only 10 minutes at 425 and it came out perfect. Pizza was delicious and we wished we had cooked two of them. For my Wings I used the Air Fryer and only a little spray oil. Did a dry rub on the Wings using Flavor God Hot Wings and Ghost Seasonings Plus Franks Hot Sauce Seasoning. Mixed the seasonings well and then coated the Wings before placing them in the Air Fryer. While the Wings cooked, I heated butter and Franks Hot Sauce together and then poured the sauce all over the Wings. The result was some of the best Hot Wings I have ever tasted. They were super good and had a perfect heat level. So delicious!!!

PAN SEARED HALIBUT WITH LENTILS
DINNER AT HOME
Cooked a delicious Pan Seared Halibut and served with Lentils and a Garlic, White Wine Cream Sauce. Kicked the Lentils up with Shallots, Carrots, Red Bell Pepper, Jalapeño and Carrots. Some organic Carrots sautéed in Garlic, Butter and a hint of honey made this an incredible dinner at home.

Back to Guieb Cafe for second time this week. They had a Porterhouse Steak on special so I tried it.
The flavor was excellent but the steak in most places was tough and very hard to cut. I love the Broccolini, Mashed Potatoes and Tomatoes. Would have been perfect if it were not so tough.

Back to Guieb Cafe for a Special of BBQ Lilikoi Chicken ($15). Half a Chicken and lots of Potatoes and nicely seasoned Broccolini. This lunch was delicious. Only finished half.

BONE IN PORK CHOP
DINNER AT HOME
This is one of our families favorite dinners. We marinade the Chops overnight in Mama Sita's Sauce which can be found in Filipino markets. It really is the perfect marinade for Chops. When you combine the marinated Chops with a spicy little Finadene Sauce it is magic. One of the best flavor combinations ever. Oh I love this so much.
