Thought we would never get off the ground as our plane was idle on the tarmac for many hours. So long in fact the crew decided to serve us our meal before we ever took off. Food was terrible and after hours of delay which meant we would miss our connection we finally took off. Thankful the plane was safe to fly but lost a day and night in an expensive hotel that we had already paid for. Ended up in Frankfurt with no connection and an overnight delay.
Lufthansa put us up in a hotel in Frankfurt and placed us on standby the next day. While we paid for First Class, two of us were placed in Coach to get on the flight to Dubai.
Service level and food on Lufthansa seems to have gone down since our last flights.
